When does FCWC Weekend Edition take place?
Weekend Edition session are held year round, usually timed once monthly.  Instead of signing up for a specific session, simply complete your application to serve and you will be contacted with opportunities for an upcoming session.

 

Who can serve during FCWC Weekend Edition?

• Adults 18 years or older are eligible to serve.
• Students 14 years or older are eligible to serve with a parent.

 

What is the typical FCWC Weekend Edition experience like?

Teams of 8-10 will be formed heading into a Weekend Edition Session with 1-2 volunteers serving as the team leaders.  The team leaders will be in charge of obtaining the materials needed on the worksite and coordinating the work on the day the work will be accomplished.  Plan to arrive at your worksite at 8am, bring a sack lunch and the day should wrap around 5pm.  Some session might feature a large group event at the beginning with prayer and worship to send you off from a local church.

 

How do I sign up to serve?

Adults and qualifying students who wish to serve need to complete an online application. For family members serving together, each individual needs to complete a separate application.

What happens after I submit my application?

As a session of FCWC Weekend Edition is being put together, you will be contacted by the Leadership Team or a Team Leader to see if you are available to serve during that session.  You will be assigned to a team based on your interest and availability.  All adults who are going to serve must have a completed background check within the last two years before serving, and a link will be sent to you to begin that process.
